Message from the Superintendent 8/20/08

The Bio-Mass heating system with the QZAB loan was approved with an 83.3% favorable versus a 16.7% unfavorable vote.  Once again, it is gratifying to have such a strong community support of what we are trying to do educationally.  The new pre Kindergarten through 12th grade building is under construction.  The footings and stem walls are nearly in and the underground wiring and mechanical are also nearly done.  The flatwork or floors will start being poured next Thursday and once that is well under way the block work can be started.  We hope to have it under roof by the end of November or very early December.  A mild fall will be helpful.

Cody Fisher is our new Principal and we have a number of new teachers, Pam Dovel will be our new Title one teacher, Pam Doyle will be our new Counselor and Title one Director.  Rick Gillespie will teach Building Construction I, II, and III and Drafting and Banking & Finance.  John Haworth is our new Math teacher and Paul Peterson will teach Social Studies and coach Golf and help with Wrestling.  Pat Goff will keep our technology running and we will share him with Horseshoe Bend.  Barbara Sulfridge will be the new Lowman teacher and Jan Ward is moving to 6th grade.  We are very excited about our faculty and staff for this next year and are anticipating a very good year.

Please help us welcome the new folks to the community and may the community stay involved with the schools this next year.  Thanks again for all the support that you have given us.  Stan Kress, Superintendent
