Special invitation for students, alumni and their families:
Garden Valley Memorial Day event on Monday, May 30, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Weilmunster Park. We are putting together some great plans and are hoping that you will come join us.
This year, we will be incorporating the singing of the National Anthem to begin the program and the playing of the bugle call, Taps at the end of the program. We thought we would give the school an opportunity to participate in some way. If there is a student that would like to sing the National Anthem and/or play Taps for this event, we would be very appreciative of their talents. If there is some other way the alumni/students would like to participate, please contact me and we will do our best to accommodate their participation.
Sadly, we will be honoring the 5 KIA (Killed In Action) veterans and their “Gold Star” families who live here in Garden Valley; and will also be dedicating 52 new Veteran memorial bricks at this event.
I hope you will be able to join the Garden Valley Veterans as we remember those U.S. service men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. And I hope there are GV School students/staff that would like to participate.
